Billing

Heroic Cloud billing is usage-based. You’re charged for active deployments, support plans, and any add-ons, calculated daily and invoiced monthly through Stripe. Understanding how usage is measured helps you predict and manage costs.

How usage is calculated #

Billing is usage-based and accumulates throughout the month. Your monthly bill is the sum of:

  • Deployment costs for each active Nakama and Satori instance, based on environment type (development or production) and scaling tier. See Scaling for tier details.
  • Support plan charges if you have an active support plan. Support is billed as a recurring monthly fee on top of deployment costs.
  • Add-on charges for optional services like log exporting, metric exporting, enterprise SSO, database replicas, and profiling.

Charges are calculated daily based on active resources.

Invoice timing #

Invoices are generated on the 1st of each month for the previous calendar month. All charges appear on a single invoice:

  • Deployment usage (Nakama and Satori) accumulates daily throughout the month and is billed at the end of the month.
  • Add-on charges (log exporting, metric exporting, database replicas, etc.) also accumulate and are billed at the end of the month.
  • Support charges are billed at the beginning of the month.

Payment is collected automatically via Stripe when the invoice is issued.

Viewing usage and past invoices #

View your current month’s running usage total in the organization’s billing section. Past invoices show the billing period, amount, and payment status — download each for your records.

Prorated billing #

When you create a deployment mid-month, you pay a prorated amount for the remainder of that month rather than the full monthly rate. This applies to all deployment types.

Holding charges #

When you create a new deployment, a temporary Stripe verification hold may appear on your payment method. This isn’t a charge. It verifies that your card is valid and has sufficient funds. The hold clears automatically within a few business days.

Payment method #

Heroic Cloud accepts major credit cards through Stripe. Heroic Labs doesn’t store your card details, and payment data doesn’t pass through our systems — all payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe.
