Halfbrick Studios’ Heroic Rebuild of Magic Brick Wars
When the original backend provider for Halfbrick Studios’ Magic Brick Wars was deprecated, the team found themselves in search not only for a replacement but an partner to help build the game back bigger and better than before.
Using the powerful feature set of Nakama and the flexibility of Hiro, they were able to rebuilt the game in less than 9 weeks and eliminate 75% of the previous backend code in the process! Check out the full story here.

Announced live at GDC 2024 and now available to all, we have released an open-source Nakama-GameLift Plugin that enables session-based multiplayer gameplay utilizing the rich social and matchmaker features of Nakama combined with the power of Amazon GameLift fleet management. Heroic Labs at GDC 2024
GDC is a can’t miss event in the games industry and this year was no exception! Along with the exciting release of our Nakama-GameLift Plugin with our partners at Amazon, we also co-hosted an exclusive Tech Brunch and networking event with our friends at Deconstructor of Fun and Konvoy, and, of course, had a great time catching up old friends and making new ones!
